And, I agree. It's something I constantly go back and forth on and am trying to put a balance on. I normally try to base it off of Rupert's speech overall, but I haven't had the chance to watch over the movies myself, either more recently. There are somethings that I try to catch on-- like not overusing British slang and how much I slur the words (Rupert does that a lot, orz).
As it is, I am going back and rereading the novels slowly but surely to reaffirm my grasp of him overall (like he... doesn't use bloody hell as often as blimey or curse as much as people assume).
The speech overall is something I've been trying to work on and it may be nixed overall if I can't ground myself on it, if that makes you feel any better.;

I've tried to pay attention to Ron's mannerisms overall, so I'm happy hearing any concerns. Ron's actually known to say blimey when he's surprised almost everytime and he tends to say git more than prat, but the Weasleys (especially the twins) lean more heavily to it than the rest of the characters. Ron's supposed to be the more vulgarly speaking of the trio and we don't really get that besides sidestepping on Rowling's part, so he does have the tendency- at least in the American version of the novels, I do know there is slight differences in UK/US versions- to use them, but it's not overly done.
If this makes sense? ^^; I am trying my best with it. Sometimes I do more horridly than at other times.
Thank you for your concern, too!

As for changes. Yeah, there's some I've noticed and they're minimal overall like... America is trying to make it easier for US speakers which is silly since it's placed in England... but, you know.
