Weasley's Wizard Wheezes (opening date: 1st April) is a joke shop run by Fred and George Weasley in the Wizarding World that Ronald and Ginny hail from. Within weeks of its opening to the public in their world, the twins were already making quite a profit with their inventive jokester natures. Since arriving at Adstringendum their two younger siblings have decided it was time to bring laughter to the people once more, even if they will never create as their older siblings had.

As Adstringendum's need does not solely face in the need of laughs, the two have decided that in order for the shop to meet those needs they must expand. While Weasley's Wizard Wheezes is still built on the idea of jokes and pranks, they've once more followed their brothers to create a store that holds items of every day use. With the aid of their magic, the store also contains repaired items that the community of Adstringendum can use. Designed to be a trading-post of sorts, Weasley's Wizard Wheezes currently holds more everyday use items than jokes until the two can find new and inventive jokes capable of being made in the broken city.

Exchange System As with most things in Adstringendum, the community lacks a monetary system. As such, the store goes very heavily on the "honor system". This doesn't mean, however, that those that fail to repay when needed (see credit system) will not be subjected to a consequence, but it does mean things are, in a way, a lot more lax overall. As there is no monetary system and the burrow keeps up well with their side of things via magic, the shop isn't something the two plan to make a profit from as opposed to use as a creative and energetic outlet.

Credit System (Newcomers/Special Cases): Everyone's been in the position of those new to Adstringendum without any family and friends. It's hard to branch out and get what you need unless you're an incredibly persistent and friendly person. As such, this particular form of exchange system within the store is set up particularly for them (and special cases, ie: a house burning down).

The Credit System is where any new person is able to come in and "register their name" for whatever items they may need that the store has. All this means is they put their name in the records that they have been there so they may be checked up on and it will be known if they try and return for more. What the borrower is essentially doing is promising to return at a later date when they're situated and in Adstringendum and repay the favor either in work for the store, community service, or giving other goods.

**The credit system does not apply for any joke items within the shop.

Barter System This system is pretty self-explanatory! It's also the main trading method within the store. With the barter system, the customer comes in with another object to "trade in". As long as it's not completely beyond repair, the object can be traded in for anywhere between one-three items (depending on items in question. So, any large sum of meat won't be given away for a sock, and a can of soup won't just get them a spoon).


Community System Essentially the Community System is where the person does a good deed for the community. What the bartering is based on is this:

Does it help the community as a whole?
Does it effect more than a small number of people if not?
What was the act? (aka, was it done sarcastically?)

The Community System may be the one least used, but the idea behind it is benefiting others before benefiting yourself (or something like that). It also means that those who don't have anything to trade/they're willing to trade can help heal a few people or fix up an apartment and get what they need.
